{"id":1092,"date":"2026-04-22T16:29:35","date_gmt":"2026-04-22T09:29:35","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/bophutdiving.com\/en\/?page_id=1092"},"modified":"2026-04-22T16:29:37","modified_gmt":"2026-04-22T09:29:37","slug":"wreck-twins","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/bophutdiving.com\/en\/index.php\/wreck-twins\/","title":{"rendered":"Wreck Twins"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h1 class=\"wp-block-heading has-regular-font-size\"><strong>Wreck close to Twins<\/strong><\/h1>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-foreground-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-537c224f8abd0e92d478a6a7a2f2e4e0\">The <strong>HTMS Suphairin (313)<\/strong> is a former Royal Thai Navy high-speed attack ship.<sup><\/sup> It was sunk alongside its sister ship to create an &#8220;Underwater Learning Park.&#8221; It sits perfectly upright on the sandy bottom, looking as if it is still cruising across the seabed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-foreground-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-10b037246339628961008722770f2f5e\"><strong>The &#8220;Map&#8221; &amp; Orientation<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-foreground-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-977681d13172ff00e14153646e5d4325\">The Suphairin is almost always dived in conjunction with <strong>No Name Pinnacle<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"has-foreground-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-f0d46e24fb29197a553b2fa62780e3d4\"><strong>Location:<\/strong> North-West of Koh Nang Yuan.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-foreground-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-3e82b16049ba530c07eff3a2dc2fab2a\"><strong>The Layout:<\/strong> The wreck sits approximately <strong>15 meters North-West<\/strong> of the main No Name Pinnacle.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-foreground-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-01e623ee80432dbf94b24c372b9c485c\"><strong>Orientation:<\/strong> The ship lies on a <strong>North-South axis<\/strong>, with the bow (front) pointing North.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-foreground-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-42b03e0cf21a49512a0b7d2e724a4705\"><strong>Navigation:<\/strong> Divers usually drop on the wreck, explore the hull and deck, and then follow a short heading East\/South-East across the sand to finish their safety stop at the shallower No Name Pinnacle.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-foreground-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-ff8e7e35329cb07e7f7d78fcf345ced9\"><strong>Key Details<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"has-foreground-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-2d99736cdc5045bf0c30ec3223d685ba\"><strong>Depth:<\/strong> 24\u201328 meters (bottom); the top of the bridge is at <strong>16 meters<\/strong>, and the mast reaches up to <strong>11 meters<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-foreground-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-be4363cbd2321bf3fdfddda6375d32db\"><strong>Dimensions:<\/strong> 44.9 meters long and 7 meters wide.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-foreground-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-1e8b6dc8d43d4ed7774f8c3a23a2df03\"><strong>Skill Level:<\/strong> <strong>Advanced Open Water<\/strong>. While the top is reachable for some, the bottom depth and potential currents make it a deep dive.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-foreground-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-1ee922dae5d26a7032b7941fab5163f5\"><strong>Visibility:<\/strong> 10\u201325 meters. It&#8217;s often clearer than the Sattakut because it is further from the main island&#8217;s runoff.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-foreground-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-2b400712a552e2d55f0105781124e00d\"><strong>Marine Life<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"has-foreground-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-13f7e2afb374d6f965e61f089663405a\"><strong>The New Tenants:<\/strong> Despite being a newer wreck, it has been colonized quickly.
