It is widely considered the best location for beginner divers and snorkelers due to its calm, crystal-clear water and shallow, sandy bottom. The bay is named after the mango trees that once grew in abundance on the surrounding lush green hills.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-foreground-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-ff8e7e35329cb07e7f7d78fcf345ced9\"><strong>Key Details<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"has-foreground-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-7cf665ff290c7fc666617201252201dc\"><strong>Depth:<\/strong> 2 to 15 meters. The bay has a very gradual slope, making it ideal for skills practice.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-foreground-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-419bb4240aa4c7e5065e9914c2707dd1\"><strong>Skill Level:<\/strong> Beginner \/ Open Water. It is a favorite for &#8220;Discover Scuba&#8221; programs and the first dives of an Open Water course.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-foreground-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-0c855dd4796ff8e89e3d70a73d9efe01\"><strong>Visibility:<\/strong> Often the best on the island, frequently reaching 20+ meters.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-foreground-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-ce66ce92f361304a538b74e0ea9822da\"><strong>Topography:<\/strong> A wide, horseshoe-shaped bay with a large sandy center, flanked by coral reefs that run along both the East and West rocky coastlines.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-foreground-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-2b400712a552e2d55f0105781124e00d\"><strong>Marine Life<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list has-foreground-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-a6a80e620b2692418a1cd9fcdb643da5\">\n<li><strong>The &#8220;Nursery&#8221;:<\/strong> The shallow reef is teeming with juvenile fish. You\u2019ll find large schools of <strong>Yellowtail Barracuda<\/strong>, <strong>Sergeant Majors<\/strong>, and <strong>Damselfish<\/strong> that are very accustomed to divers and will often swim right up to your mask.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Coral Gardens:<\/strong> The sides of the bay are covered in healthy <strong>Mushroom corals<\/strong>, <strong>Table corals<\/strong>, and <strong>Staghorn corals<\/strong>.
