Located about 13km southwest of Koh Tao, this offshore site consists of a series of spectacular limestone peaks rising from the sandy bottom. While Chumphon is famous for its massive schools, Southwest is celebrated for its dramatic, jagged topography and vibrant carpet of sea anemones.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-foreground-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-ff8e7e35329cb07e7f7d78fcf345ced9\"><strong>Key Details<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"has-foreground-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-59eb498b1141f017a76112845b6fa389\"><strong>Depth:<\/strong> 7 to 30 meters. The shallowest point of the main pinnacle starts at 7m, while the outer rocks drop to 28\u201330m.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-foreground-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-019dd97072e4dbe9085fc9e6e6eb3c9f\"><strong>Skill Level:<\/strong> <strong>Advanced Open Water<\/strong> (due to the depth, potential for strong currents, and its offshore location).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-foreground-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-8851761190a1954e2fb30d8fc86be8b9\"><strong>Visibility:<\/strong> 10 to 30 meters. Like most offshore sites, it usually offers excellent clarity.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-foreground-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-8b67ce57a1da87129399861b97da34f2\"><strong>Topography:<\/strong> Seven distinct pinnacles of varying heights. The main central pinnacle is the largest, surrounded by smaller satellite peaks that create a series of &#8220;valleys&#8221; and ridges to explore.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-foreground-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-2b400712a552e2d55f0105781124e00d\"><strong>Marine Life<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list has-foreground-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-8f498adc8a6e505c22a74c24edd2cd0e\">\n<li><strong>The &#8220;Secret Garden&#8221;:<\/strong> The upper levels of the pinnacles are famously covered in a dense, pulsing carpet of green, pink, and orange magnificent sea anemones.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>The Big Stuff:<\/strong> This is a prime spot for <strong>Whale Sharks<\/strong>.
