The 40m Deep Diver course is designed for certified divers who want to extend their depth limits and gain the skills, knowledge, and confidence required to safely dive up to 40 meters. This course focuses on advanced dive planning, deep diving procedures, and understanding the physiological effects of diving deeper.
Prerequisites
To enroll in the IFDI 40m Diver course, you must:
- Be at least 18 years old
- Hold a recognized Advanced Open Water Diver certification (or equivalent)
- Have good general health and be fit for diving
- Have a recommended minimum of 20 logged dives
What You’ll Learn
During the course, you will develop the knowledge and practical skills required for deeper diving, including:
- Deep dive planning and gas management
- Understanding nitrogen narcosis and its effects
